lyrics

I sleep through the sunshine
And I wither in the rain
I'm out to cast away the hurt
That lingers in the brain
And no one's gonna find me
When I'm lost and out of sight
Now I'm craving something
That could bring me to the light

I'm looking for some affection
I know that I'm out of line
I'm hungry and I'm cold
And it is frozen in my soul
But hey, what's the cost

I lived a life of sickness
And I've never been in health
And everything that I lament
I blame on someone else
There's no one else around me
So I guess I'm feeling fine
I'll have to look inside myself
And read between the lines

I'm going the wrong direction
I'll figure it out in time
The pain is creeping in
And it is feeding from within
And in a way, all is lost
Permafrost
